Lily Gatica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering Telehealth therapy to individuals and couples in the states of California and Texas. In addition, Lily holds an Out-of State Telehealth License in the state of Florida.

Lily received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles with an emphasis in spiritual and depth psychology. During this time, she traveled to Japan to study the culture’s approach to Mindfulness through Zen Buddhism, as well as the relationship to therapy. Prior to graduate school, Lily completed her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from UCLA.

Through The Maple Counseling Center, a highly regarded training program in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Lily received extensive experience providing individual therapy to a diverse population of adults ranging from 18-64 years old.  Lily supported clients who were experiencing a wide array of issues: anxiety, depression, grief, self-harm, PTSD, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties. Lily also trained at Early Childhood Development Associates (ECDA) where she worked with families, mothers and newborns, toddlers, and children (ages 6-8 years old) through an attachment based lens.

Throughout her time at ECDA, Lily co-lead Mommy and Me groups, observed toddler’s attachment styles through child’s play, while also supporting a gradual and loving separation from their primary caregiver. Lily also co-facilitated a social skills class where she mentored kids in growth and development. Subjects ranged from proper etiquette in the classroom to correct behavior in social situations.
