Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, I am accepting new clients.

  • I do not. I am an online therapist.

  • Yes, research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person therapy for many issues and conditions. However, the best fit depends on the individual's comfort, specific needs, and situation

  • Online therapy is an accessible, convenient, and comfortable alternative to in person therapy. Online therapy is readily available and easily accessible through your computer or phone. Online therapy ultimately means you do not have to travel miles for your session. You will not have to worry about getting stuck in traffic or finding parking when you arrive. Therapy can be intimidating at times, but with online therapy, we can connect in the comfort of your own home which may allow you to connect with yourself in spaces in which you feel most comfortable such as your bedroom, your office, or on your couch.

  • Please send me a message via my contact page and we will set up a 15 minute phone consultation to find out if we are a good fit. If we are, we will set up a time for our first appointment.

  • I will gather information to find out what is bringing you into therapy and talk about how I work as a clinician, and how we would work together based on your presenting issue. This is also the time I ask if you have any questions for me. I will inform you in our phone consultation if I feel I have the skills that would be the most helpful for you. If I believe you would benefit more from another clinician, I will provide you with referrals.

  • Typically, each therapy session lasts between 50 minutes to an hour. This can be adjusted based on the treatment plan and your specific needs

  • Please refer to my rates page for information on the costs of online therapy sessions.

  • Therapy is ultimately an investment. More importantly, it is an investment in yourself. It takes time and commitment to identify and work through blocks and obstacles that have kept us in the same patterns. I recommend dedicating a minimum of 4 to 8 weeks of weekly therapy to see how you are applying the changes outside of our therapy sessions.

  • Prior to our first appointment, I will send you the consent and intake form to sign and complete. I will also send you a link via email to join the session.
